Book Description
Even the most talented graphic designer won't get far without savvy business and promotional skills. In the demanding realm of client and project management, any number of things can go wrong—resulting in lost clients, botched projects, even tarnished reputations.

Now graphic designers in all disciplines can access valuable professional advice previously available only through expensive and time-consuming workshops and conferences. The book takes readers step-by-step through the entire design process—from landing a client to managing workflow and in-house dynamics to fueling creativity and perfecting a final project. Through insightful text and illustrative photos, the book highlights proven systems and procedures that successful designers have used to produce quality work and happy clients—every time.

Straightforward and practical, this invaluable book allows designers to learn from the masters right in their own studios.

4 out of 5 stars 100 short stories   November 9, 2007

This book doesn't really teach you anything but does offer experiences that other designers have had. Because each story is so short there isn't a lot to learn from each one. However it is a great book to have around because you can open to any page and not be lost.
